We are a trans and LGBTQIA+ inclusive group, all are welcome here.
Take a break from your every day and join us for a quiet, heart centered weekend at the Shantigar Foundation, situated in the picturesque foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. Winter is a wonderful time to pause for a reset, to check in with where you are, and with what you need. This workshop is an opportunity to do just that supported by yoga-recovery centered self-care. This winter version of the retreat will have expanded time for walks in the snowy woods and lounging by the wood stoves for connection with self and others.
This is an all-recovery weekend for people who are impacted by their own addiction or/and the addiction of others. It is a retreat for people , and who want to create space in their mind, heart, and body space by: moving with intention, sitting in silence by the wood stove, spending time in nature, connecting authentically with self and others, and reveling in the serenity that arrives as a result of diligent and loving self-care.
What to expect: yoga, recovery meetings, opportunity for time in nature, delicious and healthy food, and plenty of space to journal/reflect/rest/connect.
You do not need yoga experience to join us, nor do you have to be actively working the steps to attend; however, we do recommend that you have 90 days of sobriety from your addiction before attending the weekend immersion.
CORONAVIRUS NOTE: We ask that those attending be vaccinated, though masks are optional, per the CDC recommendations. We suggest that if you are concerned about being in-person without masking, that you wait until a later date for this retreat as we want you to be relaxed and fully present for the experience.
