Community Yoga Classes (Zoom): These are relatively gentle all-levels classes that encourage increased flexibility, strengthening and balance. Gentle does not necessarily mean they are not rigorous at times, but we have options in how we approach various postures using props and what have have available at home to provide support. These are usually an hour long. All-Levels.
Saturday Morning Flow: Start your weekend off well with this smartly-sequenced, quietly vigorous vinyasa flow class designed to cultivate your inner strength, both physical and spiritual. Expect core work, vinyasa flow with options for a range of levels, and a focus on aligning breath with movement to help establish and maintain a fun, safe, and sustainable practice. This is the most vigorous class in my week line up, and it is recommended that you have some yoga experience, though it is not necessary. All are welcome. This class is generally an hour long. Intermediate.
Morning Yoga (Mondays and Thursdays): A mindful way to start your day, these are all-levels classes that link breath with movement and work through various flow sequences as we warm up then cool down again. We tend to focus on strength and balance through standing postures with some floor work and occasional chair work mixed in. This class is generally an hour long. All-Levels.
Slow Flow Yoga (when available): Working with awareness of elements and the seasonal changes around us, this class is put together with an eye on relaxation and ease. This hour long class incorporates gentle and slow flowing movements, mudra (hand gesture) meditations, restorative postures, and guided body scans/meditations. All-Levels.
ARCHIVED CLASS OFFERINGS: Early Bird (Tuesdays - Thursdays): this is an hour long all-levels class held at 7 am. We start quietly, awakening into the day as we link breath with movement, eventually moving into more rigorous postures and sequences, invigorating the whole body. A mindful way to start your day. Kate's "pay as you are able" fee structure.
Stretch & Flow (Community Yoga Greenfield): This all-levels lunchtime class will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the week. This is a compact and thoughtfully structured session that allows students to sample various elements of yoga asana. Expect flow sequences, balancing, and core strengthening work combined in a way to enhance overall flexibility and strength. $15 drop-in, $80 8 class card.
Fall Flow Yoga (Community Yoga): Working with awareness of elements and the seasonal changes around us, this class is put together with an eye on transitioning to winter. This hour long class will incorporate movement, restorative postures, and guided body scans. $15 drop-in, $80 8 class card.
Inner Power Flow (Shelburne Falls Yoga): Start your weekend off well with this smartly-sequenced, quietly vigorous vinyasa class designed to cultivate your inner strength, both physical and spiritual. Expect core work, vinyasa flow with options for a range of levels, and a focus on aligning breath with movement to help establish and maintain a fun, safe, and sustainable practice. $15 drop-in.
Mid-Day Yoga Flow (Shelburne Falls Yoga): Take a mindful break in the middle of your day with an hour of breath-centered movement. This flow class incorporates thoughtfully sequenced postures, balance work, and breath work that will boost your mental energy, spark your creativity, and relieve your body from its usual working posture! $15 drop-in, some yoga experience encouraged, but not required.
Restorative Yoga (Shelburne Falls Yoga): These hour and a fifteen minute sessions include some soft and gentle movement to warm up the body, and then we settle in for a series of restorative postures, which are held for anywhere from 3 minutes to 10 minutes, depending on the posture. We use lots of props for support to allow the body to ease into the positions, rather than seeking a sense of resistance. The class usually ends with a yoga nidra/body scan (Yogic Sleep) for your final resting posture. Open to all levels. $15 drop-in.
Revive Reset Restore: These hour and a half sessions are structured to warm you up with just a bit of movement and gentle flow work, then we settle right down into longer holds (Restorative Yoga). The class ends with a yoga nidra (Yogic Sleep) for your final resting posture. Not currently holding these classes, keep your eye on the calendar for when they might pop on. $18 drop-in.
