WELCOME TO A WELLNESS WEEKEND FOR WOMEN IN RECOVERY in partnership with The Shantigar Foundation This is an all-recovery weekend for people who identify as women who are impacted by their own addiction or/and the addiction of others. We are an explicitly trans and LGBTQIA+ inclusive group. Treat yourself to wellness and join us July 28 - 30 at Shantigar (Peaceful Home), situated in the picturesque foothills of the Berkshire Mountains.
Often, worldly experiences can feel especially taxing for those of us impacted by addiction - whether our own, or someone else's. This is your weekend to rest, restore and rejuvenate, taking a step back from the daily press and stress of the world, an immersion into recovery centered self-care. Turn of your device and immerse yourself in a community seeking wellness. You will be immersed in the verdant hills of Rowe Massachusetts, enjoying the long days of summer nestled on the lush and healing grounds of Shantigar. You will be nourished by natural beauty, recovery meetings, breath centered movement, and delicious meals... each an antidote for worldly ills, and magically potent when combined.
This is a workshop for beings who want to create space in their mind, heart, and body space by: moving with intention, sitting in silence, relaxing in nature, connecting authentically with self and others, and reveling in the serenity that arrives as a result of diligent and loving self-care. Set your mind spiraling upwards by connecting to your true self, and your higher power (as you understand it), spending a weekend immersed in nature, breath-centered movement, and all-recovery meetings.
What to expect: yoga, recovery meetings, opportunity for time in nature, delicious and healthy food, art projects, and plenty of space to journal/reflect/rest/do step work.
CORONAVIRUS NOTE: We ask that those attending be vaccinated, though masks are optional, per the CDC recommendations. We suggest that if you are concerned about being in-person without masking, that you wait until a later date for this retreat as we want you to be relaxed and fully present for the experience.
